Engagement!

On June 27th I knew that my girlfriend Abisha was the one. I wasn't sure how to proceed, but standing in being married I requested my mother's engagement ring on July 1st. She had offered it to me once before, and I had turned it down. She told me that she was really attached to the ring and concerned that it may pass out of the family. I requested that she let me know by when she would choose and she told me that she would let me know in the morning. The next day as Abish and I were driving to visit my parents I got a call from my mom, and the first thing she said to me was, "yes". I said, "yes what?", and she said, "yes I want to give you my engagement ring." I was so overjoyed. Then on July 4th I took Abisha to a spa in Hot Springs, AR for a spa day, and we both visited the baths and had massages. That evening we went to dinner with my parents at a wonderful Latin restaurant, and I proposed and she said yes! We are planning our wedding on February 12th in Loscoe, Derbyshire, UK at St. Lukes Church. The same church where my parents were married. To celebrate we are having a BBQ this Sunday at the clubhouse in our community. I invite you all to attend. Please bring a side dish. We will be cooking ribs, chicken and brisket.
